A few days ago I came across a quote from Groucho Marx on television. I expect it was made before he had his own TV show. “I find television very educational. Whenever somebody turns it on, I go into the library and read a good book.”
If you read GANNET 6 on a Kindle, the photos and charts will be in black and white. I have owned several Kindles, but my present e-readers are an 11” iPad Pro and my iPhone. They have better displays and are in color. I read books in the free Kindle apps for the devices, but I have recently learned that you do not even need Kindle apps to read Kindle books. You can do so online by going to read.Amazon.com and signing into your Amazon account. All your purchased books will appear. The default is white lettering on a black background, but you can change that and the font.
I strongly recommend that if you read GANNET 6 on a black and white display, that you also open the book at read.Amazon.com and view the photographs and charts in color. Your experience of the voyage will be greatly enhanced.
