I went to the National Hurricane Center site for the first time this year and found the above. To quote Charlie Brown: Good Grief!
I biked another load of supplies to GANNET this morning. Carol is flying to Boston this coming Thursday to visit friends and I have been planning to go sailing then. No destination. Just to quote Joshua Slocum: for the love of the thing itself. Unfortunately the weather is not cooperating. We have had perfect weather for weeks. April was one of the driest on record. Savannah television news reports what it chooses to call a drought with only 6.5" of rain so far this year when normally twice that would have fallen by now. However the 'drought' is ending too soon for me. Here is the ten day forecast.
Maybe week after next.
Two poems from AN ANTHOLOGY OF CLASSICAL JAPANESE POETRY. I hope they got together.
