GANNET was hauled from the water yesterday afternoon.
While fouled and black with slime, her bottom was not as bad as I expected. Remember when looking at these photos that her bottom paint is white.
Because of the shallow depths on the sides of Skull Creek, the travel lift has to carry boats farther here than anywhere else I have experienced, about a quarter of a mile/.4 kilometer.
We left as the bottom was being pressure washed. We will drive over this morning to see how the little boat looks.
The rain is holding off and I expect the first coat of paint will be applied today. Tomorrow does not look promising for coat number two.
