I slide GANNET into her ship at 1100 AM this morning after eight days at sea. Three out. Five back. I will write about that in the next day or two, but I am now very tired. I had about two hours sleep last night.
Since reconnecting with the world I have seen many of your comments about the Yellowbrick track not appearing. While out there I do not see comments and did no know they were not being received.
I had the Yellowbrick configured to send updates every six hours, but I had forgotten that to show positions one must have in addition to the Yellowbrick itself, credits and line rental. One buys credits in bulk. They are inexpensive. I have over a thousand in my account. Each sent position update costs one credit. But one also needs to pay for what is called line rental. One can do this by the year or the month. When I was circumnavigating, I paid by the year and forgot about it. But now I only pay for line rental when I am going to sail offshore and in this case I forgot. I regret this and I apologize.
Of the sail, three days out until the wind headed me and I turned back. Five days back. One day of thunderstorms. One windless. And the last thirty-six hours sailing joy.
