Neiafu: abruptly gone

While I don’t have much confidence in weather forecasts beyond forty-eight hours, when I came ashore this morning and went online, I found that conditions between here and New Zealand are as favorable as they ever will be, so I’m sailing for Opua tomorrow, Tuesday Sept. 9.
The tracking chart is at:  http://my.yb.tl/gannet
I intend to update our position three times daily, but even more than in the past absence of updates is likely to be due to Yellowbrick battery problems and not cause for alarm.
The distance is 1171 miles.  I estimate the passage will take 9 or 10 days.  With adverse wind, it could be much longer.
